Introduction
Counter Strike: Global Offensive is a sequel to the classic and highly regarded Counter Strike 1.6 and Counter Strike Source. This game was made from the get-go to be competitive and revolves around teamplay yet at the same time allows individual talents to shine. In this game, there two teams, Counter Terrorists and Terrorists.On each map, there are two bomb sites. The objective of the Terrorists is to plant the bomb which is given to them at the start of the round at one of the bomb sites. and make sure the bomb explodes. The Counter Terrorists on the other hand, needs to either stop the Terrorists from planting the bomb or defuse it. Completing the objective will nett a win for the team. Of course, you can also wipe out the whole team. Though for Counter Terrorists, if a bomb is planted they still would need to defuse it.
Gameplay
The thing about CS:GO is that there are many things for you to master and learn. For example, one can learn about the recoil patterns of different guns which are almost identical every time you shoot.
This would help the player shoot more accurately as they would be able to “control” where the bullet will be going. Or even learn where to throw smoke grenades so they would obstruct the enemy’s vision. Hence the skill cap is immensely high. However, it is still a very balanced game with no “pay-to-win” strings attached. I found it to be a very serious yet at the same time, fun game. Because the game is very well balanced, you know very well that every time where you lose is the result of your own mistakes. That said, there is this thrill about out-playing the enemy team, or close team skirmishes where you barely scrape by. As it’s a team versus team game, every match will be different and CSGO provides you the options to play it however you want to win.
